AW Chye Huat
Executive Director
Before joining Kimen Group, Chye Huat was an Executive Director at UOB Venture Management, where he was a member of the management and investment committees. Before that, he was a Strategic Investment Manager at Intel Capital responsible for Intel Capital’s investments in the ASEAN countries. Prior to working in venture capital, he started his career as an IC design engineer, and was the marketing manager at Hewlett-Packard, responsible for the worldwide product marketing of infrared data communication components.
Chye Huat graduated from Stanford University, USA, with a PhD in Electrical Engineering, an MSc in Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Engineering Management. He also holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (First Class Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore.
Chye Huat is a member of the investment committee of the Asia Impact Investment Funds, a joint venture fund series between UOB Venture Management and Credit Suisse; he was also a member of Republic Polytechnic's Advisory Committee to the School of Management and Communication, a member of the National University of Singapore Venture Support Fund Steering Committee, and an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore Entrepreneurship Center.
Chye Huat’s experience ranges from research and development, marketing, venture capital, to portfolio investment and management.
Arthur AW
Executive Director
Trained as an architect, Arthur has more than 30 years of real estate experience in both the private and public sectors.
Before joining Kimen, he was CapitaLand’s Group’s Deputy Chief Real Estate Officer, Chief Development Planning Officer, and founder of the new flexible workplace business unit Bridge+. He led the product design and planning strategy of projects such as Ascent of Science Park I and 79 Robinson Road in Singapore, as well as the 10sqkm Chengdu mixed-use science city in China.
Prior to that, he was the Director of Land Planning at JTC, overseeing the development strategy, master planning, urban design, land use policies and land resource management of industrial land and buildings in Singapore, including projects such as the renowned one-north development and the Seletar Aerospace Park.
Arthur also serves as a Senior International Advisor to Fundacion Metropoli in Madrid, Spain, a non-profit organisation that focuses on the innovation and development of cities and regions. He was also the Adjunct Expert for Centre of Liveable Cities, Singapore, and the Academic Director for Nanyang Technological University's Business School Executive Program for Urban Developments.
Arthur graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Architecture with an American Institute of Architects Medal and obtained a PhD in Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London.
