This to ensure that the development is built to last while typically only one layer of waterproofing is done. The double waterproofing is an extra measure of protection to prevent water leakages through walls and floor slab in the basement due to pressure and higher water table.
Besides the double waterproofing, a termite barrier was also created between the ground and the foundation brickwork to keep termites out. Work for the foundation of the remaining blocks is ongoing.
After the foundation work is completed, the next step for Block 10 and Block 16 is to construct the reinforced concrete framework of the environmental garden deck as well as the ground floor units. The construction will proceed upwards “above ground” more “quickly” floor by floor.
