The topping out of block 10 was a significant milestone for Jervois Mansion as this was the first fully erected block whose rooftop was the first to be cast with concrete.
Watching the celebratory moment with Aw and Hua were consultants, supervisors and workers.
In conjunction with the topping out, a small prayer and blessing ceremony was held. Both Aw and Alvin Foo of Multiply Architects prayed for God’s sovereignty to be upon the construction side, and the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ to be upon all supervisors and workers, His protection upon the entire construction site, and for His name to be glorified and His grace to fill all of Jervois Mansion.
More progress has been made following the topping-out event. As of end-August, the foundation work for all blocks has been completed.
In addition, reinforced concrete (RC) frames that support walls and floors for blocks 6, 10, 12 and 16 have been completed, while for block 8, the RC work was up to level 2, and block 14, level 3.
