This is the first time a Christmas celebration was held at the JM worksite as the infrastructure was not conducive in previous years.

Kimen executive director Arthur Aw and Andrew Tan of SEC thanked the workers for their hard work and dedication in ensuring the construction of JM got on smoothly and safely.

The 450 workers, management staff and invited guests were then treated to carols sung a cappella by a choir from Queenstown Baptist Church led by Pastor Sheila.

Reverend Thomas from My Saviour’s Church (a church located right next to Jervois Mansion) shared the good news about how God so loved the world that He sent His son Jesus to earth that first Christmas to save all mankind in Tamil, with translations to Mandarin and English.

Then everyone tucked into delicious nasi lemak for lunch and enjoyed some bonding time.

After the meal, all who attended the event left with goodie bags packed by My Saviour’s Church and workers also brought some festive cheer with them as they went back to their work after a well-deserved break.
